Had been looking at mattresses for a while and stopped into Austin Natural Mattress on a Saturday to have a look. Met with Charles and looked at several models and took notes and was headed to next place to look at what they had to offer. We ended up going across the street to eat and think about it and ended up coming right back in and buying. Charles was EXTREMELY helpful, laid back, and great to work with. If you come here and see Charles, you are in good hands. Mattress was delivered the following Thursday (the day I am writing this) and the driver was well within the time frame quoted. Couldn't be happier. We ended up getting the Avocado Green and so far so good. If you are looking for a fair deal on mattresses in a no pressure store, this is a good place to start.

We came for the Avocado King but purchased the Naturepedic Eos Pillowtop! Prior to our coming into the store our sights were set on the Avocado Lux; we knew nothing about the Naturepedic line of mattresses. With an easy manner, congeniality, warmth, and the ability to listen closely, Hollis offered insightful and thorough information, that allowed us to consider an alternative to the Avocado. Since my wife prefers a more firm bed and I, a more plush feel, he showed us the Naturepedic which is a win-win for both of us. The flexibility of the Naturepedic gives me the plushness I desire on my side of the bed, while my wife has the firmness she needs. Both beds are all organic and gorgeous! Hollis was terrific because he did not pressure us at all; he clearly did not have an agenda other than making sure we found what we wanted and were 100% satisfied when we left. While we had several other mattress stores on our agenda for the day, we left the store for lunch, talked briefly, returned to the store without any other stops and purchased the Naturepedic along with packages of organic sheets, an organic mattress top, and a new organic comforter. Hollis could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with in this process. While we have not slept in the new bed, we know that we have a 100 days to figure out if we made the right choice or need to start over! Clearly, all good!

I decided to focus on high-quality materials, and Austin Natural Mattress is the clear choice. When we went into the shop Hollis was so helpful, he addressed all our concerns (there were many) and showed us to the beds we should test. My husband and I were able to each choose our own preference (this solves an ongoing marital argument for us) and the bed feels amazing. Shopping for a mattress or multiple mattresses can be daunting to say the least. They can get shockingly expensive these days. It's a process I consider a "grudge purchase" : something you really don't want to spend a grip on, but you probably should: which isn't exactly the most pleasant process. I recently had to purchase multiple mattresses for a cabin property that desperately needed an update. My sister-in-law was having a laugh at my expense / the prospect of me driving around alone to try out mattresses. I found several places that were oddly, permanently closed and also ended up in a few "Mattress Firms" (which I think must be a front for something!). After a lot for frustration and some laughter, my sister-in-law suggested that I try Austin Natural mattress: that she would never shop anywhere else...When I walked into the location I was pleasantly surrounded by some very interesting music playing on their house system. It was some arcane Ween music from a somewhat obscure live album. They've been one of my favorite bands for more than a few decades now, and you don't often hear their music in a retail setting! I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman wearing a Ween T-shirt & noticed he had an inconspicuous yet somewhat prominent (and esoteric!) Ween tattoo on his calf. I knew I was in the right place. If I remember correctly Charles (the sales rep) told me he had Ween Shirts for practically every day of the year & he intended to wear a different one every day. As someone that actually followed this band on some tours back in the late 1990s: this is fascinating news that brings back a flood of fond memories. We exchanged more pleasantries about our mutual Ween fandom as I sampled the wide array of gorgeous all organic and non-chemical mattresses. They have some killer ones, and for something you spend close to 1/3 of your life on: it seems wise to get something that doesn't off-gas hydrocarbons and other chemicals as they slowly break down.After trying several really nice mattresses that ranged widely in price I settled on the Avocado all organic mattress: King sized. I didn't ever think I could afford such a luxurious item, but I somehow got in on the last minute of their Labor Day sale. As a laborer myself: I couldn't be more pleased with the process and outcome of this exchange.Several months in, and I'm sleeping more comfortably than ever. The only drawback is that traveling has become more difficult because most places don't have beds nearly as nice as mine. It was great to find what I was looking for from a local dealer that believes in protecting the environment and keeping good vibes going in the community. I would second my sister's advice & recommend the community look no farther than Austin Natural Mattress when it comes time to improve your sleep comfort!

Like many others, we came to Austin Natural Mattress because we care about quality AND about sleeping on a mattress that isn’t full of chemicals. Have been searching high and low for a new mattress and have been to almost every mattress store within the Austin metro area. ANM has wonderfully knowledgeable people who really care about finding the right mattress for you, as well as a huge selection of different types of natural mattresses. I had some preconceived notions about latex; but I've gotta say it has come a long way baby. Now it is in varying firmnesses including some that rival memory foam (which I've tried in the past and am not a fan of). Hollis was a fount of knowledge and extremely patient. The people at ANM know they have a quality product and for that reason do not feel the need to "sell" customers on anything - they were never pushy, only very accommodating and helpful. Given mattresses are expensive, I decided to bring one of my children in to test out the mattresses. We ended up purchasing two naturepedic versa mattresses, Avocado mattress toppers and water proof mattress covers. Ambiance of the store was great and I never felt pressured to make the purchase at the moment. Though I did end up buying at the end of the visit! Before accidentally finding this place, the idea of an organic mattress was something that had never crossed my mind. I went in out of curiosity and left with TWO mattresses!! Yes, some of their mattresses are above the average price of a mattress you could get at a more standard mattress store. BUT, there are 100% options available for any budget that are just as comfortable as anything you could get anywhere else.I worked with an employee/owner named Steven. Steven was very respectful of our space, allowing us to browse around at our own pace and get a feel for things. Once we approached him with our questions, he was incredibly informative, patient, and dedicated to getting us what WE NEEDED, not selling us the most expensive thing available.I cannot recommend this place enough. Eco options go SO much further beyond reusable bags and cups and straws. PLEASE shop here!
